Technical Geo-technical Manager – National – new role
The purpose of the role Is to manage, oversee and coordinate the technical role of a project via either
a technical engineer, consultant or themselves, working with the project team ensuring cost, time and compliance are achieved.
To review an interpolate chemical and geotechnical information to enable quantification of tender and site working volumes. To evaluate data, waste characterisation, treatment and disposal of soils and water and soil geotechnical improvement and compaction testing.
The person should have earthworks and remediation experience, an understanding of site investigation works, trial pit/ borehole logs, chemical and geotechnical data. An ability to review and plot contamination, interpretation of depths and extents of contamination and waste characterisation.
They should have a working knowledge of specifications and regulatory requirements.
They should have an understanding of waste and environmental legislation, knowledge of environmental risk assessment DQRA, and use and interpretation of environmental monitoring equipment, such as vibrock, PID, dust and noise monitors and be competent at the writing of and interpolation of reports.
Either a geotechnical/environmental science/chemistry degree standard qualification is required, together with a CSCS card. DowCop knowledge is desirable.
Geo-technical Engineer – initially based in Hertford for approximately 5 months with an opportunity for further site experience – new role
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Project Manager in relation to environmental monitoring, earthworks testing and materials management at a disused gas factory to support with the enabling works and treatment of contaminated soils.
This excellent opportunity would provide experience for either a sandwich placement or post grad
Civil Engineering or Geotechnical or Geo-environmental Engineering. The person will receive on the job training and experience and no prior experience is necessary. A car driver would be an advantage.
Site Manager – Regional for the Midlands – new role
Site Manager and Project Manager also required initially for a long-term project in Horsham, West Sussex and then to work regionally in the South.
These roles require extensive earthworks experience and an understanding and background relating to remediation.
The role in Sussex is supporting the remediation of a 100-year-old disused landfill site.
