Dunton Environmental and Dunton Technologies are pleased to announce that Soletanche Freyssinet has acquired a significant equity stake in the businesses.

Soletanche Freyssinet is a French company and in turn part of VINCI Construction.

For 15 years now, Dunton has been operating in the land remediation and waste management sectors and have built an enviable brand in the industry for solving complex brownfield problems, and delivering great value to clients safely, sustainably and on time.

Dunton is recognised as leaders in land regeneration, by providing innovative solutions and techniques to soil and water treatment.

The business also operates several fixed waste treatment facilities whereby they treat contaminated wastes and convert them into sustainable materials for recovery and recycling.

The business has demonstrated exceptional growth in recent years and in 2020 was awarded the accolade of ‘Top 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain in 2020’ by the London Stock Exchange Group.

In 2019, as part of its continued and successful strategy for development, Soletanche Freyssinet identified Dunton Environmental and Dunton Technologies as a strategic acquisition to enhance the development of its soil remediation business.

The Soletanche Freyssinet group offers an unparalleled array of construction and engineering expertise. It has 6 main brands and operates in 4 main business activities, which are soils, structures, nuclear and digital.

Within the group, Dunton will join Menard who is a world leader in soil improvement, investigation, and remediation.

This coming together of Menard and Dunton will accelerate the business aspirations by creating scope for even faster growth and expansion.

This new partnership will provide significant benefits to all our clients because it will enable us to support them with an even wider geographic reach, and the combination of the two companies will bring a depth of experience to enable us to engage in larger and even more technically challenging projects and continue to help our clients in solving complex land remediation and waste management challenges.

The Dunton brand is well known in the sector and it is the intention to maintain and build on the existing brand reputation of the business in the United Kingdom and expand the scope, scale and reach of Dunton across the UK.

Soletanche Freyssinet and its companies’ organisation is based on unique principles that allow the group to grow closer to its customers and encourage self-governance of its subsidiaries.

Therefore, the leadership team in the UK will remain in place and continue to be led by Neil Roe, as CEO. The ambitions of the business to ensure, stability, growth and provide added value to our clients will be maintained throughout.

It is a very exciting time for us all at Dunton and we want to thank our clients, supply chain and an amazing team of dedicated staff for all their support to date.
