Dunton Environmental is pleased to announce the opening of a new waste treatment centre in Truro, Cornwall in partnership with Wheal Jane Ltd.
The new treatment centre is permitted to process hazardous and non-hazardous contaminated soils and dredging spoil for on-site reuse. The facility offers a sustainable alternative to landfill disposal with real commercial benefits as incoming wastes are not liable to landfill tax charges.
A broad range of contaminants can be remediated to meet the reuse criteria, including hydrocarbons (petrol, diesel, oils, etc.), heavy metals, asbestos and soils contaminated with invasive plant species. Dunton can achieve 100% reuse by applying our advanced product range to the wastes.
Dunton’s business development manager James Hill said: “Wheal Jane is an important site locally with an interesting environmental history. It is currently being transformed into a pioneering Earth Science Park and I’m pleased that Dunton can play a part in the overall restoration plan.”
“We plan to announce the opening of more waste treatment centres throughout the UK very shortly and are in advanced stages with a number of strategic partners.”
