Dunton Environmental have completed works at the Low Carbon Site at Coventry University.

Contracted by Wilmott Dixon, Dunton was tasked with engineering a ground platform that would support the proposed loading of a new structure. During the preconstruction phase, Dunton proposed an alternative solution to re-engineer all the made ground from the natural layers to the proposed formation.

The innovative solution created significant cost and program benefits for the Client by preventing exports to landfill and reducing the import of quarried stone. The solution also dramatically reduced the traffic flow on and off the site, which was very important to the Client in this particular location. The project was completed on budget and on schedule.

Wilmott Dixon appreciated and acknowledged Dunton’s contribution as mentioned in their tweet below.

Great video by supply chain partner @DuntonEnvLtd shows how working together during pre-con has improved sustainability, reduced local community impact and helped us to be ahead of schedule at @CovCampus @FEV_Europe_GmbH #LowCarbonTechnology https://t.co/d6KQVbOjnw
