GDPR – The Future Of Data Protection

gdpr

On 25 May 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be coming into force for all businesses and is the biggest change to data protection regulation in a generation, building upon the existing data protection regulation act and imposing stricter rules on how organisations handle data.

In anticipation of this new law, Dunton Environmental is taking steps to ensure that we are prepared. Our Human Resources department will be conducting an information audit across the company which will consider any processing or storage of personal or sensitive data, including HR records, customer lists and contact details among others.

Once we have completed the audit we will put a plan into place on any necessary changes needed in time for GDPR implementation. This will include the implementation of a GDPR policy as well as the provision of appropriate training and information to individuals about their data responsibilities as part of the induction process.
