Kilnwood Vale 01

Dunton Environmental have been awarded a £1.9 million contract at Kilnwood Vale, West Sussex, by Crest Nicholson.

The site being a former landfill was zoned for re-development for housing by Crest Nicholson, this saw Dunton being invited as part of their waste framework agreement to be part of the highly detailed tendering process.

Dunton proposed various alternative solutions to deal with the many complex site issues that exist, these being incorporated in agreement with their Engineers to provide a suitable construction solution. The project involves bulk earthworks with material modification sorting and further processing of materials so as to meet the final placement strategy and specification. The finally placed fill are to be fully monitored under a designed placement and removal of a designed surcharge within the existing landfill area.

The development of the site will be executed in multiple phases and is expected to last several years. Dunton Environmental expect to deliver further value engineering whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards throughout the project cycle.
