The management of contaminated soil arisings can be complex. In a world where construction projects are constrained by space and time it’s handling is often overlooked. Even on balanced cut and fill projects, spoil can arise from utility excavations, pile arisings and other foundation solutions and the construction of roads and pavements. Due to the nature of these works, the responsibility of managing these arisings is often handed over to the appointed groundworkers and civil contractors.
